I have to have that surgery done on the left thumb up in the Pacific Northwest but may the to wait a few months because hand surgeons are in short supply.
PLESE ANSWER MY QUESTION BELOW!
Fat toilet
I had surgery yesterday on left thumb. So far so good. Hand -wrist now wrapped in elastic bandage. Assuming no problems I am still concerned about procedure affecting strength. durabilty of tendon(s).
Surely cutting the pully prevents its use? Can the tendon be shaved or thinned somehow instead? Once the pully is cut, it is ruined, isn't it?
thank you for your very informative video. I am a Certified Hand Therapy and will share it with my patients.
How id there no blood?
which country
BRUH THAT JUMPSCARE ME
That was informative, tickled the visual learner part of my brain. And the photo wasn't that graphic. Great video
He said that @ the 3:50 mark! 😂😂
You need to get your NECK looked at, 😳😳😳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣??!!!!! For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome surgery?! 😂😂😂
I'm in the UK & just had this surgery done 4th June on my left thumb. So looking forward to driving, crafting etc without the pain that has been dominating my day for months. The specialist said one of the worst cases she's seen, really looking forward to a positive result & yes it hurts now the anaesthetic has worn off, but it's already a different sort of pain so fingers crossed!
Been suffering from this carpal tunnel syndrome 5yrs now. Sadly surgery is expensive here in Philippines can't afford it 😢
My buddy James has this… hope it works out!
Question please. Aside from the pain I feel when I move my thumb or wrist in certain ways, when I stretch my thumb out, I feel something popping near the base. Also when I twist my wrist, I feel something popping on the top side of my wrist. Is this common with this condition? I have had x-rays done and they are negative for any fractures or breaks. Thanks
Hi, same thing with me. From what I understood from my Ortho, when we extend them and then contract them, they pop bc they are swollen and trying to vote through the sheath and getting caught. My surgery is May 30th, after months of pain. I'm sure this all goes back to an old high school Injury and then life just happened the rest of the years. My xray and MRI were all negative also. I'm REALLY looking forward to no pain and using both hands again.
@@kjschmidt7112 Thank you. Wishing you the best. God bless
@@kjschmidt7112 Hey there. I hope your surgery went well and you are doing good. When you feel up to it, please let me know how you are doing. Best wishes. God bless
I was recommended for surgery about 10 years ago never got it because I was told the success rate was basically 50/50. Some people get better with surgery and some don't apparently doctor said. I decided not to risk it because I couldn't afford the surgery anyway. Have had to be very careful last few years not to lift anything too heavy or overwork my hands but it seems certain vitamins have helped(not taken away) the pain. A lot of the swelling could also be from vitamin deficiencies along with carpel tunnel. I have been lazy and not been taking my vitamins last few years and can really feel it more. I still get bad flare ups even on vitamins but not sure I can afford or want to risk surgery, came here to read Comments and see people's experiences with surgery. Why was I told a success rate of 50/50 when everything I read or watch on the internet says a 90 to 95% success rate?
That just looks inherently breakable
I have had this surgery very recently
Very informative, thank you.
Thank you Dr Knight. I am pretty sure I am going to have to have this surgery. I have already been diagnosed with this and have tried the nonsurgical treatment. My wrist is not getting any better, so the next step is surgery. You helped a lot with your explanation.
Super awesome video. I’m in so much pain on my left hand thumb 👍 it has resisten to my thumb and it pops two times to close or open it. I went to the hand specialist know the problem he says is the tube that the tendon goes through and ligaments are catching in the tube . He put me a cortisone shot but nothing I went to see him 8 times already he said wait two months and I will put another cortisone shot. I pay $140 bucks every time I go to see him and I do have health insurance anyways I had been looking on line more information to find the solution. I do have a tiny broken ship bone in my thumb but he doesn’t is affecting at all . He told me maybe they have to remove the little tube that the ligaments goes through. I’m a handyman but now I’m a handicapped not a handyman I only can grab things strong with my right hand. I’m thinking of switching doctor because this one doesn’t do literally anything besides charging the shit a my insurance and me . Don’t care about the money I’m tire of being getting hurt everytime I hit my thumb or touch anything
i think i broke the last digit on my thumb when I cut it deep when it was curled. Hope not :(
Neen fapping hard for about 6 weeks, must be 10 times a day at least. Bicep came straight of the bone (Arm bone not the other boner) doc said I could have the surgery but should get a girlfriend. F that! Im gonna get a boyfriend.
Hi what if I'm a housekeeper can I work again after a few days off
Thankful 💙
i need this surgery i think. On both elbows too
Just had this procedure done 4 days ago. I was curious as to how it was done. Wow!
90% success... what happens the other 10% of the time?
Excelent information! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this. My man had his surgery around January and it just came back and I’m really scared What do you think we should do?
Which Anesthesia was used?Thanks
Just had mine removed. It was large.
I have this condition in my right hand..how much does it cost if it be fixed by surgery…
Think mine is my middle finger as when I close my hand my middle finger remains mostly out with a slight crook as I can't fully extend it flat either. Part of it my finger and only that finger is swollen.
need volume
How about the other nerve at ur elbo were there is another nerve which also effects ur hand nerves
What ur not saying is that there are chances of damaging the nerves in doing endoscopy surgery than the old surgery because u have to loosen or sepreat the fatty teasuu and not hurt the nerves. Even with camera. Versus a cutt where u can everything with out inserting camera
Just got this done on Monday, really hoping this solves it
Hopefully allow it to heal?
I did a tendon surgery fix on my thumb now 2 months after i still can't fully hyperextend my thumb
TV-PG V
I would describe what I feel as being kind of a "Hotness" with a "Fatigued feeling" in those 2 fingers and that area of the palm. Which is quite annoying, especially for someone who works at a computer all day.
He will be doing the same surgery on me soon. I can’t wait to get out of this pain.
Open procedure is only 2 cms not 5cms.
Sir can you send your contact no...plss
Could you please answer my father had this operation yesterday I have a query if you assist would be greatly appreciated. He had this operation recently it’s about 24 hours but still, he is feeling complete numbness in his full hand he is unable to move his full hand if you even cut his fingers he can’t feel it, is it normal to happen for all this type of surgery after an operation or it happens when the operation is failed? When he will get his sensations on his hand?
